SRA Research Group has received a contract award from Workforce Florida, Inc. to develop a demand side customer satisfaction index with a focus on Florida’s six target industry clusters, as well as infrastructure industries (i.e., water, transportation, energy, healthcare, telecommunications and natural systems) over the next three years. The overall objective of this research is to provide a credible tool to demonstrate that Florida has an effectively prepared workforce to meet the needs of the key target industries.
The target industry clusters have been identified in the state’s “Roadmap to Florida’s Future” as high-impact clusters which will bring high quality, high paying jobs to the State. The target industry clusters include Aviation and Aerospace, Clean Energy, Homeland Security and Defense, Life Sciences, Financial and Professional Services, and Information Technology.
Workforce Florida, Inc. intends to use the information and data gained through this research study to guide sound health care workforce development policy, planning and resource distribution activities to grow existing businesses in these clusters and to attract new businesses to the State.
