Intercept survey

SRA Research Group has conducted intercept surveys on a national level, speaking with customers about customer service, items for sale, or the manner in which items are displayed.

SRA Research Group always adheres to strict guidelines concerning discovery session and creation of a survey questionnaire. Our intercept surveys cover a variety of situations: we've analyzed signage to determine if shoppers are being properly directed to merchandise, and we've tested floor plans, packaging, and products, even the placement of items for sale.

Our trained interviewers, armed with a carefully crafted survey, go into the store to gain a greater understanding of the shopping experience-from the shopper's perspective. To avoid skewing the results, our interviewer may not inform the shopper that we're representing your product. We ask about the packaging and the labeling: Do the bright colors make a difference? Is the labeling easy to read and understand?

A manufacturer may make an improvement to a product that increases the cost. We find out if the shopper is aware of the new feature and even more important, if he would be willing to pay the higher price. SRA Research Group sends its supervised, trained interviewers where they're needed most: into the shopping experience itself. We're very proud of the excellent results we've been able to deliver to our clients.
